We’re a grassroots movement building local mutual aid networks to fight against the cost of living crisis, the climate crisis, and the social crises created by capitalism today.
Mutual aid is not charity. The aim is to change the system, not take pressure off it.
- Build local resilience by connecting mutual aid groups supporting communities, cities, and the country.
- Build local power and trust through coordinated solidarity actions, non-payment campaigns and strikes.
- Build the equitable, sustainable, community-enhancing future we all want and need, replacing the structures driving inequalities today, through local assemblies.
CANCEL THE DEBT
We are united by a vision that sees the common root of our diverse struggles in the capitalist relationship to debt.
If you’re worried about getting to the end of the month, you’re worried about debt. Behind every inequality is a debt. Debt is how energy companies and financiers can make windfall profits while millions go without adequate heat. Poor countries extract resources and lower wages to pay debt to rich nations. Debt is driving the climate crisis. Debt is driving the cost of living crisis. And while the debt exists, nothing can change.
Jubilee means freeing people from debts. That’s why we think of it as a celebration. It’s a tradition that goes back thousands of years.
The system won’t change for us. Only we can change it and only together.
